Experience:
Hal Maris is the Principal Architect and President
of Hal Maris Design / Build Group, L.L.C., with over 35 years
experience in the design / construction industry. As a partner
in the prestigious architectural firm of Simons / Burch / Clark
/ Maris, Hal was involved in the design and construction administration
of some of the most prominent commercial, educational, industrial,
ecclesiastical and residential buildings in Northeast Texas.
This wide variation of buildings created the opportunity to work
with many different structural and foundation systems that have
proven to be invaluable such as concrete frame, load bearing
masonry, pre cast tilt wall, post tension concrete, structural
steel, pre engineered steel and wood and steel studs.
Early in his career, Hal worked as a framing carpenter and roofer
where he developed an affinity for the housing industry. Later,
he would own and manage a portable building company, where from
there migrated into home building. After nearly two decades as
an architect Hal returned to his residential roots and has since
been involved in the residential design / build industry.
